Then join the Salal Team! For over 40 years, we’ve dedicate ourselves to creating social and systemic change through education, outreach, and activism. We are a feminist, anti-oppressive, decolonizing sexual violence support centre operating on unceded Coast Salish Territories. We provide free-of-charge support services to women, trans, nonbinary, Two-Spirit, and gender diverse survivors of sexualized violence!

It’s important for our communities to be represented in the work we do. That’s why we hire folks from the communities we serve for frontline, administrative, and leadership positions.

  • We believe that both types of experience can provide you with the skills you’d need to succeed in a position with us; in fact many of our services community developed with those we serve.
  • We encourage you to spend time sharing what you think is relevant in your cover letter.
  • We also prioritize hiring folks of diverse backgrounds and experiences including Indigenous people, racialized people, queer people, disabled people, and people of marginalized genders.
  • We ask, but do not require, applicants to self-identify in their cover letter so that we can adequately prioritize the application.
