As you may know, WAVAW provides immediate crisis support, support groups, and one-to-one counselling to survivors of sexual assault.
Unfortunately, for the last five years, WAVAW’s wait time for one-to-one counselling has been two years. This is because of a lack of consistent, reliable government funding.
Well guess what ? YOU’VE DONE SOMETHING AMAZING! 
Our wait time has been reduced by six months, bringing the wait down to 1.5 years!
This is a great accomplishment – and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to you for stepping up when we needed you.
That being said, we still have a long way to go.
In light of recent events and #MeToo receiving such publicity, I know many of us are looking for ways to take action and support survivors.
